The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential staffer Ibrahim Adjei has revealed that the Electoral Commissioner Madam Charlotte Osei was a constant attendee of cabinet meetings under the John Mahama’s administration.
He emphasized that the petition against the EC Boss demanding her removal was as a result of her appearance at cabinet meetings during the previous government.
‘’I am not aware but I am made aware that Mad. Charlotte Osei attended cabinet meetings under John Mahama’’
He made this revelations in an interview with an Accra based radio station Star FM.
Despite making the allegations, he could not support it with evidence when asked to substantiate his allegations.
Meanwhile a former Cabinet Minister under the former administration and a Minister for Foreign Affairs, Madam Hannah Tetteh has denied the allegations in a tweet.
She tweeted ‘‘that’s not true, I was a member of Cabinet, the Electoral Commission Chair did not attend meetings, the minutes can be checked for attendees’’
The electoral commissioner is currently battling a petition against her demanding for her impeachment.
She is among other things accused of by passing procurement process to give out huge contracts.
